Jacob Gilbertson

Jacob Gilbertson is a Texas-based civil litigation attorney who started his law career in insurance defense, with a particular focus on commercial trucking and transportation litigation. He has represented corporate clients, insurers, and motor carriers in complex personal injury, property damage, and wrongful death matters throughout Texas.

Jacob has extensive experience handling all phases of litigation, including taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing dispositive motions, and managing discovery in high-stakes cases. He is known for his meticulous preparation, persuasive advocacy, and strategic case management that consistently deliver strong results for his clients.

Jacob received his B.B.A. in Economics with distinction from The University of Oklahoma, where he gained valuable insight into the financial and business principles that often intersect with complex civil litigation. He then earned his J.D. from SMU Dedman School of Law, where he developed a strong foundation in trial advocacy, legal research, and civil procedure. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2023.

When he is not in the office handling complex legal matters, Jacob enjoys working out, playing golf, and spending time with his wife, Katy Lou, and their seven-month-old son—who is quickly learning that Saturdays are for the Oklahoma Sooners.
