Home / Lawyers / Daniel R. Marasa ("Dan")

Dan is a graduate of the Baylor Law School, where he competed in several interscholastic transactional law advocacy competitions and he earned distinctions for his professionalism, advocacy, and drafting abilities. While attending law school, Dan volunteered at Baylor’s Entrepreneurship Clinic, where he helped new businesses with the formation and start-up agreements and was recognized for his efforts by receiving the Excellence in Entrepreneurship award. He also served as the President of Baylor’s Military and Veterans Legal Society through which he helped plan professional development events focusing on issues impacting the military and veteran communities, such as mental health awareness.

Prior to law school, Dan served as an Intelligence Analyst in the U.S. Army, which included three overseas tours supporting military operations in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria. He regularly conducted research on key topics related to ongoing efforts, drafted policy papers, and advised senior decision-makers of those findings to assist in planning. After leaving the military, Dan applied his G.I. Bill to obtain his Bachelor of Arts degree in History at Texas A&M University, a Master’s in Global Policy Studies from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin, and finally, his Juris Doctor from Baylor.

Dan started at Haley & Olson as a Law Clerk after his second year of law school in 2024 and was promoted to Associate Attorney after passing the Texas Bar Exam in October 2025. Leveraging his past professional experiences and passion for advocacy and advising others, Dan passionately represents clients of all kinds – from individuals to businesses and municipalities. Outside of the law, Dan enjoys spending time with his lovely wife, Sam, spoiling their five cats, and cheering on his beloved Texas Aggies, New England Patriots, and Boston Celtics.
