Les joined Haley & Olson in August, 1988. Before moving to Waco, Les practiced in Bryan/College Station, Texas with Dillon & Giesenschlag, P.C. and as a partner in Moore & Palmer, P.C.

Having practiced civil trial law for over 30 years, Les has tried many cases to verdict. In representing businesses, individuals, insurance companies and government entities, he has successfully litigated personal injury, wrongful death, commercial, banking, complex business, employment, trust and fiduciary, oil and gas, construction, securities, intellectual property, contract and real estate cases. Les has litigated throughout Texas, in state and federal courts, and, with special permission, courts in other states.

Recently, Les has been engaged in the successful resolution of these representative litigation matters:

  • Defense of construction claim against contractor-client and recovery for contractor-client for post Hurricane Rita apartment reconstruction project;
  • Trial to verdict of claims of breach of contract and deceptive insurance practices on behalf of a national health education publishing company against a life and health insurance company;
  • Settlement of trust litigation matter for a trust beneficiary;
  • Settlement of claims by a physician-client of investment and insurance fraud against several life insurance companies;
  • Settlement of a wrongful death claim for widowed mother and child against a Houston-area ambulance service;
  • Defense of stock fraud claims against a defense contractor;
  • Defense of multiple lender liability claims;
  • Defense of commercial claims by foreign entities/government against domestic aircraft modification company; and
  • Successful defense of various wrongful termination, discrimination and other employee-related claims against equipment dealer, defense contractor, physician group, pharmaceutical company, and others.
