Amanda’s experience as an attorney gives her a unique perspective in estate planning and business transactions. Amanda was sworn in as an attorney only minutes before helping pick a jury for a trial for a real estate dispute. She spent years practicing medical malpractice defense–defending physicians, physician extenders, and nurses in both the courtroom and before their various administrative boards. She broadened her practice to a personal injury insurance defense practice, representing commercial trucking companies, apartment complexes, oil and gas companies, and various other businesses in personal injury litigation across Texas. Additionally, Amanda has handled contested guardianship and probate matters, and even assisted in the trial to void a purported marriage after the death of one putative common law spouse. This extensive experience in the courtroom helps Amanda approach estate planning and business transactions with an eye towards the future to best protect her clients, their families, their businesses, and their assets from unnecessary court involvement.
Amanda was born at Fort Hood, Texas and grew up an Army brat. She lived across the U.S and internationally, including Toronto, Germany, and Abu Dhabi with her family until attending Cameron University for a Bachelor’s in English. Amanda attended Baylor Law School where she met her husband, Reid. They have four children, two Great Pyrenees, and two cats.
Amanda is admitted to the State Bar of Texas and the Southern and Western U.S. District Courts.
